Can I configure Communications Express to add an image file to the address book contact?

Yes, in general, you can perform this type of customization to Communications Express. The details of this type of customization are too great for this FAQ, but what you could do is to use a jpegPhoto attribute for your LDAP server to store an image file for each user and then customize the Communications Express address book so that it is able to read and display this attribute.
