How do I rename a Messaging Server user?

The user is configured for Calendar and Messaging, and has a name change due to being married. Is there an easy way to move everything inc address book(s) over to the new userid/name?

Changing uid is very painful and hard to do because uid is used in the mail and calendar stores. You should change the CN, email address, and so forth, that is, all externally visible handles to the mailbox or calendar. Servers can be configured to allow users to authenticate using email address or any other per user attribute instead of the default uid if that is something that needs to also change.
