Does Messaging Server support a symmetric three-node cluster using Sun Cluster software?

Yes. Support for N+1 HA has been in the product since iPlanet Messaging Server 5.1 (circa 2001), both for Sun Cluster 3.x software as well as Veritas Cluster Server (VCS). What is not supported is having multiple hosts access the same back-end store data concurrently (that is, a Global Data Service in Sun Cluster parlance).
