This MediaWiki provides documentation and usage tips for the Oracle Communications Messaging Exchange Server (formerly Sun Java System Messaging Server). The material here is provided by volunteers, including but definitely not limited to members of the Messaging Server documentation and development team. All material posted here is available to everyone and anyone who wishes to take the time to contribute may do so.

You will find articles here on specific product options and capabilities. You will also find task-oriented articles explaining how to accomplish specific goals with the Messaging Server product.

In most articles links will guide you to associated articles, often with additional information. You are welcome to add further information, cross-references, or citations, so long as the material is relevant to an appropriate standard. You do not need to fear accidentally damaging the content when you add or improve information, as material that's added will be reviewed and if necessary corrected or deleted.

Because this is an ongoing work to which in principle anybody can contribute, it differs from a paper-based reference source in some very important ways. In particular, older articles may tend to be more comprehensive and balanced, while newer articles may not have received sufficient review and may contain significant misinformation or inappropriate content. Users need to be aware of this in order to obtain valid information and avoid misinformation which has been recently added and not yet removed. However, unlike a paper reference source, this MediaWiki can be updated constantly with articles on new issues or product functionality, rather than having to wait for revisions to printed documentation.

It is especially important to understand that due to the open nature of this project the information provided by this mediawiki cannot be construed as committing Oracle to anything.
